First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who have supported Typed.

Since our beta launch in 2021, Typed has been on a mission to help individuals manage knowledge and enable teams to collaborate more efficiently. Along the way, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive the love, encouragement, and support of so many users who believed in our vision.

In September of last year, we first shared that we were considering shutting down Typed. However, the overwhelming response from our users—many of whom told us that Typed is an essential tool—led us to explore every possible way to continue running the product.

For the past six months, we’ve tried our best to keep Typed alive, considering every possible avenue. However, running the product has continued to demand significant costs and resources, and we’ve repeatedly found ourselves unable to provide the level of support our users deserve. After much internal discussion, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that rather than offering an unsupported service, it would be best to shut down Typed and allow our users to make new choices.

Typed will officially shut down on April 30, 2025.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this news, but we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for you.

Termination Schedule

• Official Shutdown Date: April 30, 2025
  • Starting May 1, 2025, access to Typed (typed.do) will be restricted.
• Refunds for Paid Users:
  • General: All subscriptions will be automatically canceled starting March 31. You will still have full access to Typed until the shutdown, without any additional charges.
  • Monthly Subscribers: Payments made after March 13, 2025, are eligible for a full refund.
  • Annual Subscribers: A partial refund will be provided based on the remaining subscription period as of March 31, 2025.

Data Backup Information

• Backup Period: Until July 31, 2025
  • While access to Typed will be restricted, you will still be able to access your documents via Google Drive until July 31, 2025.
  • Please ensure that ownership of any necessary files is transferred before the backup period ends.

While Typed is coming to an end, our mission to make work easy, effective, and efficient remains unchanged.
